We idolize our class teachers and owe our school learning to them. But there are some others too who shape our lives and shift our trajectory forever! We might meet them in passing or have regular sessions with them. But, most certainly, the conversations we have with them leave a lasting impact on our psyche. These godfathers and godmothers give meaning to our life, inspire us to put our best foot forward and make us reach out for the stars. The dictionary gives them a name – Mentors.
At BJFI, mentors serve as the pillars that uphold its values, vision and growth. Our mentors are no run of the mill coaching experts but specialists from different professional backgrounds. They are lawyers, doctors, teachers, architects, technocrats, communicators, etc., bringing with them practical wisdom gained over the years. They don’t just shape better students or professionals — they help shape better humans.
Mentorship is the cornerstone of BJFI. Mentors, here, inform, inspire, and enable.
Life coaches
- Great mentors live by example. Their lives are true testaments of fruitful living and an inspiration for the students.
- Mentors at BJFI are generous in sharing their knowledge, experiences, and perspectives. They throw light on difficult terrain and dispel the darkness. They transfer wisdom earned over years of practice, thus making the mentees’ path easier and achievable.
- Through constant feedback and criticism, they caution the students about potential pitfalls and prepare them for the road ahead.
Torchbearers
- The most memorable mentors go a step further and inspire. The mentors at BJFI spark curiosity and encourage the students to stretch their limits.
- They keep their passion alive and egg them on to persevere.
- They show full faith in the mentees’ capabilities, which in turn fuels their self faith. This paves way for real transformation.
- The trainers encourage the students here to aim higher, raise the bar and tap their full potential.
Facilitators
- Once they ignite the fire in the students, these life coaches finally push them to act. They equip them to take action, contribute meaningfully and achieve their goals.
- They create space for growth and open doors to opportunities. They might help with resources to climb the ladder but primarily they boost the mentees’ skills and confidence.
- These torchbearers make the students capable of decision making. When they enable the mentees, they in fact empower them.
