Bhai Jaitajee Foundation India (BJFI) continuously partners with the youth of rural Punjab, scripting a confident future. The Sikh ethos of honest living and selfless service remains our guiding light.
We train and shape socio-economically challenged high school students for competitive entrance exams, enabling their admission to top institutes across the country, such as IITs, IIITs, NITs, AIIMS, GMCs, etc.
Bhai Jaitajee Foundation India is an organization in the social entrepreneurship space, and named after a hero from Sikh history. Bhai Jaita was born to a disadvantaged socio-economic background. However, the good fortune of growing up in an enlightened community that exposed him to progressive ideas, holistic education, and practical training gave him the self-esteem to lead a heroic life. Inspired by Bhai Jaita’s life and the Gurus who created the communities that transformed people like him, we aim to help the marginalized and dispossessed realize their potential. We seek to be innovative in our approaches.
BJFI set on its journey in 2011 with the aim of enriching the lives of the underprivileged youth in the rural areas of Punjab by promoting all-round education and bringing them at par with their urban peers. With STEM education as its base and with a view to develop the scientific temper of rural youth and nurture leaders, BJFI has till now successfully turned around lives of about 400 disadvantaged families by educating their wards.
